Addressing climate change is focal point of Arctic Summit (May 16, 2013)
The Arctic Council presides over one of the Earth’s coldest places, but the warming of the Arctic and the overall planetary trend of climate change were the dominant topics as the council met May 15 in Kiruna, Sweden.

Embassy closed on May 17th and May 20th
The Embassy will be closed on the Norwegian Constitution Day, Friday, May 17th, and on Whit Monday, May 20th.

The last week of April had an environmental focus at the U.S. Embassy, and on April 26, in celebration of both Earth Day and Arbor Day, we invited 50 seventh-graders to a day of fun and learning in the Ambassador’s garden.

2012/2013 Young Ambassadors Graduation (April 25, 2013)
On April 25, the 2012/2013 Young Ambassadors Program concluded with a formal graduation at the Ambassador’s residence Villa Otium. The 90 guests included the steering committee, mentors, seminar speakers and parents, who were all present to congratulate the participants on the completion of the program.
