Three seventh-grade classes celebrate Arbor Day in Ambassador’s garden

52 children and 5 teachers from Maridalen and Haugen elementary schools came to the Ambassador’s residence on Friday, April 25th, to take part in a “natursti” and plant a Norwegian maple with the Ambassador. In teams, they all worked their way through 13 stations of the path with various tasks and questions about trees, nature, and environmental protection. The winning team received compasses as prizes.

In addition, the children talked to the Ambassador about the importance of environmental protection and why we have Arbor Day, before they all together planted the tree.
