Welcome to our Business Page!
One of Embassy Oslo’s key missions is to increase trade and business between Norway and the U.S.
President Obama announced the National Export Initiative (NEI) in his 2010 State of the Union address, with the goal of doubling exports by 2014, and under Secretary Kerry’s, and Secretary Pritzker’s leadership, we at the Embassy are working energetically to expand trade and investment opportunities for U.S. companies in Norway.
We’re also actively
supporting the President’s SelectUSA initiative by encouraging Norwegian
companies to invest or do business in the U.S.
How do we do it?
- Throughout the year, we meet and work with a large number of U.S. companies doing or seeking to do business in Norway, and Norwegian companies trying to improve their business prospects in the U.S.
- We travel extensively in both Norway and the U.S. to learn about industries, spot business opportunities and encourage business and government leaders to strengthen the economic ties between our two great countries.
- Finally, at the Embassy in Oslo and at our residence, we frequently host networking and promotional events to showcase products, discuss policies or simply bring the right people together.
The Embassy, including the Commercial, Political/Economic and Public Affairs Sections, is dedicated to promoting and protecting U.S. commercial interests in Norway and stands ready to offer a variety of services to both U.S. and Norwegian companies.
