U.S. Congressional Delegation in Norway for NATO Parliamentary Assembly (May 22-26, 2009)
A U.S. Congressional Delegation visited Norway May 22 – May 26 to attend the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session. Led by Mr. John Tanner, a U.S. Representative for Tennessee, who also serves as President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the Delegation participated in several meetings, and Mr. Tanner delivered a speech at the concluding Plenary Session. In addition, the Delegation participated in a Memorial Day Reception onboard the naval destroyer USS Porter, and traveled to Bergen to review the USS New Hampshire submarine.
