Under Secretary Dobriansky visits Norway to discusses Climate Change (August 7-12)

Under Secretary for Global Affairs Paula Dobriansky visited Norway August 7 to August 12 to discuss climate change, Arctic and Carbon Capture and Storage issues among others. She visited the Statoil Hydro planned CCS facility in Mongstad and then went to Svalbard where she visited the Svalsat station which provides support to NASA and NOAA as well as the Ny Alesund research facility where the National Science Foundation and other USG agencies conduct research. 

In addition, she had productive meetings with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Environment on the direction of the climate change negotiations and a in depth discussion with researchers and others in a roundtable debate sponsored by Bellona.
