Reporting a Change of Address

If you have moved and would like to report a change of address, please:

  • send the information to the American Embassy, Federal Benefits Unit, Henrik Ibsens gate 48, 0244 Oslo, or
  • call 21 30 85 58
  • send an e-mail to fbu.oslo@ssa.gov

Whether you write or call, please state your name, the type of benefit you receive, the claim number, the old address and the new address. If you have direct deposit in Norway we can accept the residence change-of-address information by telephone, but cannot make changes in the bank data without a written request from the beneficiary. Written bank requests may be faxed to: +47 22 55 27 43.
