A class from Akademiet high school was the first class to visit the Embassy this fall.

During the past four school years, the Embassy has hosted and visited more than 130 high school classes as part of our “Meet America” youth initiative. “Meet America” is an Embassy established youth program where the Embassy offers high school students interactive and informative sessions on various U.S. related topics, such as Multiculturalism, Youth in the U.S. and U.S. Politics lead by an American diplomat.

A class from Akademiet high school was the first class to visit the Embassy this fall on September 19, and we already have more than 20 other visits scheduled. Ambassador White also hopes to continue visiting schools and talk to young Norwegians throughout the school year.

If your class wants to visit the embassy, or your school would like a visit from an Embassy officer, you can send a request to osloirc@state.gov.
