Moving to the United States

NOTE: The authoritative sources for information about moving or traveling to the United States are the various agenices of the United States Government that deal with aspects of entry, immigration, and naturalization (eg.the Bureau of Consular Affairs at Department of State, the Immigration and Naturalization Service at the Department of Justice, and the U.S. Customs Service at Department of the Treasury). Information from these sources can be found in the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy Oslo website.

However, many commercial companies not affiliated with the U.S. Government have also compiled useful guides to the immigration and the relocation process. For your convenience, we provide links to some of them below, but please bear in mind that this does not constitute an official endorsement. (see also our web site disclaimers and privacy notice)

  • Foreignborn.com - a site for people who are considering a move to the United States.
