Summer Institute for young Norwegian Science Students
– spend 6 weeks in the U.S.


The Summer Institute for Norwegian Students in the Sciences is offering 12 scholarships to undergraduate students majoring in the natural sciences. The students will be offered a six-week institute focusing on the scientific work being undertaken in the Polar Regions in conjunction with the International Polar Year.

Participants will travel to the United States in early July 2009 and will be hosted by a U.S. university (to be announced). Awards will cover all participant costs.

The International Fulbright Science and Technology Award is for PhD study at top U.S. institutions in science, technology, or engineering.

Approximately 40 awards will be competed worldwide for candidates who demonstrate unique aptitude and innovation in scientific fields.
