U.S. drivers licenses
Each state and territory in the United States determines how to obtain a driver’s license. The laws vary widely, as do the requirements for getting a driver’s license. There is no easy answer to any question; it all depends on the state or territory in which you will be staying temporarily or residing. Since we cannot be familiar with the ever-changing laws in over 50 jurisdictions, the Embassy is unable to answer any inquires regarding driver’s licenses in the U.S.
