Trash Art Exhibition (April 5-30)
Two American artists, Bill Morrison and Laila Darabi, participated in an innovative art exhibition “Recycling the Looking-Glass – Trash Art – Found Objects,” which explores the individual aspects of the phenomenon of Trash art – Found objects, and addresses a global, expanding commitment to the environment. A small grant from the embassy to the Norwegian Association of Arts Societies assisted them in creating this international art exhibition , which marks the 30th anniversary of Norske Kunstforeninger and the Mangfoldsåret 2008. The exhibition opened at the Oslo Art Society on April 5, and will remain in Oslo until April 30, 2008. After this date it will travel to 12 other Norwegian cities and art societies .
