The U.S. Embassy is making a film about student life for Norwegian students in the U.S., and we are looking for youth that would who want to share their stories with others.

Send us a brief project description and suggest how you want to do YOUR student video diary to ksofstad@usa.no. We're looking for students in High School, College and University who are going to different regions in the U.S. for 6 months or more.

Please include: Name, date of birth, address, e-mail, contact phone number, and where & when you will be in the U.S.

Deadline: July 4, 2008

The Project:

  • A Student Video Diary
  • Students are given a video camera to film their U.S. student experience from fall 2008 to spring 2009. This video camera will be theirs to keep.
  • During their stay they will upload monthly videos to our Facebook group (USAstudier) so that friends and interested people can follow the students' lives in the U.S.
  • When the students return to Norway in May/June 2009, they will hand in 45-60 minutes of film to us, and we will produce a Student Video Diary information film based on the material from all students.
